The "Pickups" will be in KC on Saturday, the 2nd at the 75th St. Brewery, 9:30 to 1. We feature a wide variety of styles including Western Swing, Rock, Pop, Bluegrass, Old timey, and even a bit of Jazz.
There will be six of us Saturday night, and four will be playing "electroCoustics"...the holdout being my good buddy Doug, who uses a Taylor with a Fishman dual system. At any given moment, fiddle, mandolin, "electroBro", my fretless electroCoustic bass, and of course, a couple of electroCoustic guitars. I might even try to get Brett and Jim to do a dualing electroMando tune.
If you've ever been curious about the electroCoustics, come on by, I'll buy you a beer, and you can get up and play a tune or two....
AND...The Central States Guitar Show is on Sunday, the 3rd...I'll have a booth set up with seven instruments(including a mandolin!!!). That's at the Holiday Inn just off of 87th St. and I35 in Overland Park.
Would be great to meet some of you!!
