Just wondering if anyone has a chord/melody version of this tabbed out, or knows of a source for one. This song has been in my head for days now.

Try Alltabs.com, you'll need to use table edit. The free version, that's available will work.

there is also a great version written out by Don Stiernberg in Mandolin Magazine. I think it was a couple of issues ago, but it can be ordered and they 'might' even have it online.

I recommend the Mando Magazine version by The Don. Here's the link (http://www.mandolinmagazine.com/cgi/backissues/searchdb.cgi?searchterm=v11n3). I've been working on it for a few months (!). The vanilla chords are easy but then he goes wild to show us all the harmonic possibilities. Ultra cool voicings. As he says, you may not want to use all of them all the time, so the column is for learning what is possible.

Another recommendation here for Don's chord-melody arrangement in the recent Mandolin Magazine. I've been trying to work through it for a while too. I find the minor 9 chords hard to reach - perhaps I should find another voicing - it's a bit of a stretch and I'm not sure I'll ever get it cleanly. The rest of the chord voicings are not too difficult but it's still a challenge to put it all together and play smoothly.

Thanks for the tips one and all. The Donny version doesn't seem to be online. :( A Cafe member sent me Donnys chord/melody arrangement for Autumn Leaves and I love it. Which issue exactly is All of Me in? the Winter issue?

I love this tune. We play this in a set, where i introduce it with a line of schtick:
In my best Dean Martin impression - "hey man, play that one about the guy that gets a defective martini."
Guitarist - "Huh?"
Dino -"Yea, he gets a martini totally ungarnished."
Guitarist - "What are you talking about?"
Dino - "So he shows to the bartender and says, 'Olive me.'"

Shared with the lovely women running the Dermatology Surgery at the local Veteran's Hospital,
that I couldn't get that song out of my head ,
as they prepared to remove a couple melanomas from my flesh.
.. It got a smile in return

I would like to be able to play like Don Stiernberg. His music is jazzy, bluesy and most of all....it is tasteful. I love the stuff he does. But there's no point in me learning it. No one I pick with wants to learn All of Me, Stardust, Pennies from Heaven, etc. They are not typical grass jam pieces. One of these days I will drive all the way to Chicago just to see him pick. (I won't fly).
His music is the type of music to learn. If someone gets tab to All of Me, please share.

Your post is a bit confusing to me. If you "love this stuff", why not play it? As for playing in an ensamble, (or a herd of jammers), chord/melody playing is solo stuff, not meant to be played in a group setting. Check out Joe Pass, Jim Hall, or Donny himself, for examples of the style. I love all the great Jazz standards and it's about all I work on these days, except for some Bach and a few odds and ends, as for BG, I don't play much of that anymore these days.

Just to point out, Don's version in MM is not meant as a fully worked out chord melody solo. In fact, it's presented as an approach to backing chords in an ensemble. The melody does not come out clearly in that arrangement, it's not meant to. The harmonic suggestions, however, are so cool!

Wow. Thanks. I just went to that song of the week link, learned the chords and I'm pickin' it. I just need to iron out some of the coolness of Mr. Stiernberg's syncopation and subtle hints of melody that make his version 'tasteful.'

I wrote out a notation/TAB PDF of a version I worked up a few weeks ago. It's just bare bones rhythm, you'd have to syncopate it up and fill in between the phrases, but it gives some of the voicings I was fooling with. The pdf is at:
http://pickpluckmusic.com/mrt/audio/all_of_me-mandocm.pdf
I have a webcam version on YT. It's not exactly the PDF version, since I was a bit looser with the melody rhythm on that, but roughly...:
