Saw the Frank Vignola Trio here in Seattle at Jazz Alley last night. Man that guy can flat out play! I also finally got a copy of Kong Man (with Josh Pinkham). Talked to Frank and he said that's a hard CD to find. He also had very kind words for Josh. I wish he was still playing with Frank. Those videos above are simply KILLER!

BTW - Frank is a pretty funny guy too!

Joscho was one of the guitar instructors at Django in June this year. He is just plain scary both in terms of musicality and technique. He also has a great stage presence. I don't know quite how to explain it, but you watch some guys on stage who are scary good, and you are left feeling like you are just sitting there in the audience watching someone who is scary good. With Joscho, something about the way he plays draws you in as an audience and somehow makes you feel like you are up there on the stage making music with him. It was very enjoyable to say the least.
