I saw a piece of advice a while back that I have wondered about. The advice was to sing "into" a dynamic mic and "across" a condenser mic. Is this correct? I see top performers do it both ways with both kinds. I see it particularly when using a condenser mic to mic an instrument. It is usually pointed diretly at the instrument and i rarely see anyone singing across the top of a condenser mic. They usually point it right at thier faces.
