Hey guys,
Wanted to give you a heads up on a couple chances to catch Wake the Dead in the Northwest, June 4 & 5. Paul Kotapish on mandolin and Danny Carnahan on octave mandolin. They put on really a terrific show blending Grateful Dead songs and Celtic tunes with inventive arrangements using Celtic harp, pipes, fiddle, octave mandolin and more. If you love Celtic music, you will love these guys. Danny does the Celtic column in Mandolin magazine. More info is on the Cafe calendar page.

Bummer ... that's the weekend of the Tenor Guitar Gathering. I'll be in Astoria. Wanna stop there on your way back?

Danny just sent me their Wake The Dead CD. Absolutely fabulous music and arrangements - it'll keep me humming for quite some time...
