Hello to all you mando lovers. It's been four month since I received my Collings MF and I am so very happy with my choice as this mando's tone is still developing small increments at a time. The tone of this mando sits so well with all sorts of music styles. I often play along with recorded CD's from various band's from bluegrass, to newgrass, country, ect and this MF just sit's so well and complements what is playing. My wife often ask if that was me playing the mandolin part or the CD I was listneing to and my wife has that golden ear for music. Just thought I would post how this MF was doing and perhaps if somoene is still undecided on getting a Collings mando, well, fear not, this has to be one of the best value's out there today. This is the real thing, the tone you've been looking for at a price that is affordable. I dont miss the gloss and ornaments that come at a higher price, my ear's are very happy, and if I get Gibson logo lonely i just put a strip masking tape on the Colling logo and print the Gibson name on it. Gibson MAS gone. I'm one happy camper. Hope to here from anyone.
