I just purchased a Ward Elliott Stelling from The Mandolin Store. It's #96 and is a 1997 model. It has a varnished finish, 1 3/16" nut and flat fretboard. Does anyone know what tops Ward may have used on this? I was told Englemann, but would love to know if you guys had more info for me. I hope it sounds as good as all the hype about the Elliott Stellings!! There were only 30 made by him which makes it kinda cool too! I've played sooo many mandos and it's sooo hard finding THE one, especially if your wallet isn't as deep as you'd like it to be. Thanks!
