Cittern Strings?

As I anxiously await a R. Beard 5 course Cittern, I'm wondering where I will find strings. Does anyone make 5 course sets, or do people usually put together sets based on whatever gauges suit the tuning? In my case, I'm going to at least start by having the instrument set up tuned CGDAE (unison), and don't really anticipate much change...maybe CGDAD for giggles. Are pre-packaged sets available?

I don't know of any string vendors who have pre-packaged sets for cittern. Ask Beard about the string gauges he recommends for his instruments, given your tuning. You can get custom sets made up by a number of different vendors. I generally buy mine from Larry White at Thin Man Strings in Alameda, CA:
