I'm looking at a 1940's Gaylord Mandolin. Any one out there know any thing about this brand? It appears to have a solid top, but has a painted logo. I am assuming the sides and back are solid as well. All I have to go by are a few front back and head stock pictures to go by. It looks like a good chunker, but a picture doesn't paint a thousand tunes. Any info you could seperate with would be greatly appreciated!!
