I've put some photos of the Rinaldi up in the picture forum here (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=18412). I think I got the setup right now and it's ready to go to my mother next month. Lowering the action a bit more got the intonation pretty good now. Not quite as spot-on as on the Ceccherini, but pleasantly playable.
Those of you who've had a chance to inspect some de Meglios at close range, I'd be grateful for any comments on how Rinaldi might fit into the de Meglio/Ceccherini school of luthiering, given the obvious similarities. Was Rinaldi a re-seller of de Meglios or a pupil building de Meglio imitations?
