I'm curious about the difference in these 2 models. Are the differences simply cosmetic and the installed pickup? Seems like there must be more with the price difference of around $700 or so. Anyone have owned or played both?
Looking for a first mandolin with musical versatility, great tone and playability. I'd like to purchase an instrument that I won't outgrow and will improve with age. Having searched around this site, I've read the A+ may be the way to go. The price of the A Natural sure is nice though.

Buy this instead of an A Nat...... Used A+ Deluxe (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.cgi?search_and_display_db_button=on&db_id=11058&query=retrieval)

Wonder why there have been so many A+ deluxes floating through the classifieds of late? And cheap too - the one above is a steal (considering I paid close to 1700 for mine new).

Must be a lot of people stepping up or something.

I literally just got a used A Natural and it is magic. I love it. I have played the A+ but think I prefer mine. The matte finish is great, it sounds so good, but the neck is the best part. It is so easy to play. Apparently, the A+ neck is almost identical. I would say go with the A Natural. That's my vote.
