Hi Bitteroot Owners (with Mahogany Sides/Back)

How's yer mando sounding? I have one, and she's still a bit tight, but I have lacquer on & custom color. Maby that is why/still the mahogany sounds good for a whole bunch of different music, not just b'grass. Mine was born in Feb. 2004, so still needs breakin' in, probably takes a few years if only played hour or so per day.

What is your take on this lovely instrument??? Rarely hear about this model... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/coffee.gif

Give her some time. I play a Custom Yellowstone, but a friend of mine has a Custom Bitterroot with a high gloss finish and mahogany back and sides. Her mandolin is a couple years old and sounds fantastic. I'd say she only plays it about an hour per day and it didn't take that long to open up. Maybe 6 months or so.
