The Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival (http://www.dumplinvalleybluegrass.com) is going on this weekend in Kodak, TN. It looked like it was going to be a wash out due to Ivan but now looks like the system is going to move on through. I went last night (the stage is inside a barn so we stayed dry) and saw some mighty good pickin' including Dave Peterson and 1946. Lots of other good acts scheduled (Hit and Run Bluegrass, Open Road, King Wilkie, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver just to name a few) and I'm sure there is going to be some good jammin' once the rain slacks off. Check it out.

Dawg gawn it. Missed it again!! I was on call this year too(work). When I saw the title of the thread Dumplin Valley I thought GOOD, it is this weekend and I can go but NO, It was last weekend.
The weather was pretty decent this year huh? I know the music was.

I was there! We went on Saturday. Saw Rhonda and Cherryholmes for the first time. WOW! On our way home we stopped in Norris and got tickets for that too. Got lucky and a very special person handed us 4 day passes! We were there 3 out of the 4 days. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Can't wait till next year. WE will be there for both again!
