I'm not sure if these are viewable outside of the UK, but the BBC's website has some fine videos of this years Celtic Connections festival: http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/music/celticconnections/2010/videos/

For mando content check out Beth Nielsen Chapman (some fine mandolin backing + Beth on what looks to be an archtop electro-accoustic OM!), Alecia Nugent includes some fine Bluegrass mandolin, and the set of tunes from Dervish includes some nice 'zouk playing.

Non-mando highlights for me were Vasen and Natelie Merchant.

Wishing I was there, John.

Thanks for the heads-up John, but they're not available outside of the UK. #@*$ the BBC -they always do this.

Luckily you can watch at least some of these videos on youtube.

Natalie Merchant is awesome. I love her version of Bury me 'neath The Weeping Willow...
Danke Schon Michael.

Bitte schön, Eddie.

Besides the videos from Celtic Connection this channel of Mónica from Asturias is really nice in general: Sanyallana (http://www.youtube.com/user/Sanyallana#p/u)

Yeah, that Sanyallana channel is a good 'un - there's been episodes of Blas Ceoil uploaded there sometimes - I'm still waiting for the one from the most recent series that features Angelina Carberry playing a tune on her Fletcher Tenortone tenor guitar!

Cheers,
Jill
