A follow-up to my msg last week:
1. #Many thanks for the input, and I see if I'd been more diligent about reading older posts I would have found a lot of information and opinion that was relevant. #The mandolin community here seems to be a GREAT bunch of people!
2. #My trouble with "Bertha" was just pure ignorance; a little more work convinces me that C is just fine for it. #I'm still VERY new at this! #I'm still sticking with simple chord changes but I'm having a wonderful time with the mando. #Today I've been playing with "Mama Tried" and "Dead Skunk." #FUN!
3. #My A-vs-F quandry has been very happily settled by Carl (fatt-dad)'s ad in the Classifieds. #I've been a huge fan of Strats and Teles and Fender in general for years, so the FM-61 looks like a PERFECT solution for now. #Can't wait to get my hands on it!
4. #Again, kudos to the Mandolin Cafe crowd--you guys sure are nice to newbies! #;-) # TNX! #--Ken (ken.kuzenski@duke.edu)
