Looking for some legal assistance to Trademark some mando-related ventures. I know this is a "do-it-yourself" project for someone with average intelligence or better, but I'd just rather pay someone who can go through the process for me. Any legal hounds in the Cafe community experienced at this?

Note this is Trademark™, not Copyright© or Patent.

Ted,
Read the above page (it's pretty short). The Patent and Trademark office can help you find an attorney, or you can download the application and file it electronically.

Thanks, Daniel. I have a close friend who did this, and did it wrong; it ended up taking four years and about $600 in extra processing fee. It was his advice to seek counsel and do it right the first time.

Free legal advice is worth just what you paid for it. Get thee to an appropriate barrister. Real attorneys don't advertise on the Net, and only ambulance chasers advertise on TV. In fact, real lawyers never used to advertise at all, except for their 'shingle' and a listing in the phone book. Pay the retainer and git 'er done. You should have seen what my ex-wife got away with. [Advice from someone ripped of too many times by people way smarter than himself.]

Some people will never buy a Chinese mandolin. I would never take advice from a lawyer on the Internet (even if I owned the site).
