Pete Seeger auction to help Haiti

Just heard of Pete Seeger's donation of his banjo skin to aid the Haitian environment. I have been to the border crossing from the D.R., and seen the deforestation of the Haitian side. Very tragic and moving, and the kind of long term problem that is crucial to the future of that poorest of countries.

Mandolin content? That thing will sound a lot better if you tighten it over a old time hoop and use it to accompany a mandolin.

Agreed. It's not his first such gesture, and hopefully, it isn't his last.
