Hi

I own a Heritage mandolin and maybe some of the Dutch members can point me to a skilled mando repairshop in The Netherlands. Looking for a refret!

Thanks ModelT

Modeit,

I bought my vintage Gibson from Boetzkes in the Netherlands a couple of years back. A very, nice, helpful and competent luthier (also an amateur mandolin player) specialising in the mandolin. I wholeheartedly recommend him. Still having lots of fun with my mandolin.

Have a look on the site: http://www.hboetzkes.com/web/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=28&Itemid=10028

It has been listed in the builders section of Mandolin Cafe for years. That's where I found the address and I looked the address up a month ago to let a friend know where to look for a Gibson but I see it's no longer listed among Dutch builders and repairers but the Boetzkes site is still up and running

If Boetzkes (http://www.hboetzkes.com/web/index.php)is not repairing he certainly can advise you where to find a skilled repairperson.

Hi there,

Ad Vermeer in Rotterdam does a great job on mandolins and other string instruments. He refretted my old Gibson A and worked on my Givens A5. He really knows how to get the most out of an instrument. Take a look at his website: www.advermeer.nl.

Cheers, Janos.
