Hello Everyone,
I am a long time musician, but new to the mandolin. I predominantly play
bluegrass with a fiddle background which has helped tremendously in the
transition to the mandolin. I recently purchased a new Kentucky Mandolin,
Model KM-700 from Robert Fear at Folkmusician. I would highly recommend him as his pricing was very competitive, the service superior, and the setup he did on my mandolin was excellent. Based on the reviews and a friend's input, I narrowed it down to a Kentucky and decided on the KM-700. What a great mandolin! In my opinion, the transition from fiddle to mandolin is much
easier than it would be from a mandolin to a fiddle. I am happy with my
progress thus far and am enjoying this Message Board. Thank you for having
me!
