was perusing this thursday's boston globe calendar section, and lo and behold a picture of the cafe's own larry simonson (a great player and even more importantly a super nice guy!) and his band the pine hill ramblers. they are playing bg music this monday at the bread and roses festival in lawrence, ma. which it seems is a full day music event with a variety of genres and free to all.

larry- hope you don't mind that i posted this, but knew you prob. wouldn't.

Thanks Ira. The Pine Hill Ramblers are making some fans and friends while having great fun. Isn't that what its all about? I was happy for the publicity for the Ramblers but would like to make a couple of corrections, first I am hardly a "great" player, just a persistent hanger-on-er, and secondly I am not "super nice", unless I'm trying to separate you from your mandolin.

Hey, when are you going to show me your new Axe? Geeze, I'm missing Thomas Point Beach this year for the first time in 15-20 years. Eeew! -Larry

PS. I'll buy you a set of strings if you can deduce the basis of my new username. Offer expires Oct 1, 2004 (see I am not that nice)
