Hi everybody! It's probably been about a year since I've posted on here so bare with me.

I started out on mandolin, but now I play Irish banjo mostly. I'm wanting to maybe get an OM though, to get a break from the banjo sound once in a while, and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. I'd need a relatively shortscale one(my banjo is about 20") because I hurt my left hand when I was young and the big stretches, like guitar, cause quite a bit of pain. So probably around 20-21.5 would be nice. price range goes up to about 450. Thanx for your help!

Pretty much I'd like to be able to play more chords and drones and I'd like a break from my banjo on the days that i already have a head-ache ;)

If you're after a TC, you may have to go used; I haven't seen one of the TM-325's advertised new for less than $500. Scale length is 20 3/8 inches.

Thats what I was thinking actually, Allen. I've been looking around, and I might be able to make the stretch for the 325...might have to sell another mando, lol oh well i don't play em anyway. Have you guys had any experience with the TM-325?

I was in London last month and I saw one at Hobgoblin, London's premier acoustic music shop. That's where McCartney buys his stuff & hangs out there. They have everything there and could give you info on getting one. I've got several pictures of it but I'm trying to figure out how to post pix in this ...

+1. Good value for the money. Comes with a decent hard case too.
