A-5 Plan Questions

Hi, I am about to start building an A-5 and I have a few questions I thought I would try and sound out with you folks. I will list them below:

1) Does anybody know what the A-5 plan from Stew-Mac is based upon?

2) Does anybody produce a quality snakehead plan - I know that I stated that I would like to build an A-5, but the headstock on the Stew-mac plan is different than say a Gibson A-5L.

3) I believe Siminoff offers the Loar A-5 style plans(forgive me if I am wrong). Wouldn't this be essentially an old gibson A style body with a longer neck? I believe this plan does have a nice snakehead profile on it, but I am reluctant to purchase the plan just for the headstock profile. How does this plan differ from the Stew-Mac plan?

4) Is the Stew-mac A-5 plan the closest available to the Flatiron A-5 and Gibson A5-L? Is there anything else out there?

5) anybody know where just to get a snakehead profile template?

Any input or ideas would be great. I look forward to your suggestions.

Get a good head-on pic of a snakehead and then blow it up to the size you would like. It is also easy to design your own snakehead, if you don't mind some minor differences from the original.
