I've recently heard a really great version of Hey Good Lookin' a couple of times when surfing the local country stations during my commute. It is very upbeat, and I swear it has Sonny Landreth playing his unique style of slide guitar on it (but it isn't him singing). Any ideas who does it, and what CD it is on?

I think it's (ahem...) Jimmy Buffett....

It's Jimmy Buffett, joined by several others, such as George Strait, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and others. Check out the video at cmt.com.

That's it! BTW, I checked out the performer credits for this CD at bn.com, and it is Sonny playing slide on that CD. (I guess this it yet one more CD I need to buy.)

If you like Buffet it is a good CD. Matter of fact, I believe I'll turn it on right now.

I guess I am a bit of a Parrot-head. To date, I think I have been to 5 of his concerts. (all outdoors concerts at that!)

Ole Sonny is from 'rat here, watched him many times. He can sure do it. I used to be a guitar blues player wannabee, until I re-discovered bluegrass! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Sonny is a blast to listen to, but even more amazing to watch, the way he combined fretted strings with the slide to change the color of his chords.
