Hello,

I have a Morgan Monroe MMS-3 and I need to replace the tuners. I purchased the Schallers and the Grovers but both of them left the top screw hole exposed and the others would have to be drilled out to fit. They also fit lower on the head and are right up against the corner of the head. Any suggestions on replacements would be appreciated.
Thanks, Kent

The string post spacing work out compatable?
You could put 'A' types on either side, the old style tuners have the worm gear installed below the post/sunGear newer ones the other setup.
one way, the string tension pulls the gears together , the other way less so.

if as I find Schallers work better, as I think they would, new tiny holes are not that bad. Your adoring audience will never know the difference, like they would if youre going out of tune often.
I like my hand 'eggbeater' drill for little, shallow, holes like that.
wood toothpicks, and a drop of glue, for the exposed remaining back hole.
