Hey i'm new to these boards i've been playing only a few weeks. #But anyway, i went to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville this morning and saw an absolutely amazing mandolin player, playing a reddish satin finish Gibson.
I can't remember what the mandolins model name was, but the guys name was Jeremy and he absolutely blew me away.
I was just wondering if perhaps anybody knew him and what #the model name is, because the tone was amazing, and if thats what he plays then i hope to get one at some point.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Isn't the satin finish red Gibson the Wayne Benson model? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I played a Benson that I wish I could have afforded. Played, looked and sounded great!

Jeremy is our own MandoJeremy. He was playing Wayne Benson that he is borrowing until his Bush is back in his hands. It is here for some work. The Benson is a barely used one for sale in our retail store. Nice mandolin.

Cody, thanks for your kind words and I hope you enjoyed the service there at the Ryman because I know that I did. The only band I have played with that you might recognize was a two year stint with Wyatt Rice & Santa Cruz and a couple of shows with Tony Rice but that was a few years back when I was 20 (now I'm 28 and getting older by the minute!). BigJoe is right, that is the Benson model and it is a killer mando! Sort of off track here but when I went and picked up the Benson Saturday at the Gibson store they had a Varnish Fern in there that just ripped it and the Distressed Master Model I played was a monster also. Those guys are putting out some killer mandolins and that is all there is to it! Thanks again for your help Joe.
