Epiphone MM-50

Looking at the back of the head of an Epiphone, I see a pressed in mark of "2ND". Can someone tell me what this means?

i have one like that too.....i assumed that it meant a factory second....although i can find absolutely nothing wrong w/mine except the '2nd' impressed into the back of the headstock.....

It was sold as a factory 2nd.

There were Epiphone 2nd's all over eBay a while back, check out the completed auctions for them to see what the average sale price has been. If I recall they were sold without a warranty as well.
