I pulled some of the tabs here. I downloaded tabledit and am curious if it is possible to get these txt emails into tabledit. I save my emails to my desk top but they all save as html. Can I change these to work? John http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

fyi I read about tabledit and am under the understanding that it can convert notation to tab and tab to notation. The ultimate goal of mine. Thanks again John

Hi John,

I'm not sure why you'd want to try and get text files into tab edit, but I would suggest copying and pasting as a solution. You can either do this to a text (word, notepad, text edit, etc.) file or directly into tabedit. In both Mac and PC go to the Edit menu to find these commands.

It might just be me but I'll give it a shot thanks. The files I got from the archive although in tab are sent on my computer in a text file. I thought they may be tabledit compatible so I could plug them in. Thanks John

Oh, I understand now. It's a download problem. If you're on a Windows box, right click the link and select save to disk. This will download the file as a tabedit file instead of as text. If you're on a Mac, hold down the Control key (labeled ctrl) and then click on the link. This will again give you the option to save to disk.

I hope this helps.

Pete

I only found files on this website in text fromat. There is a large collection of tabledit format files if you go Here (http://www.mandozine.com/music/tabledit_search.php)

Thanks all I'll try both. John #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I tried the option click on my mac but still only get text files. I imagine it has something to do with the mac. I'll send it to mac as a bug and see if it is fixed in the next revision. Thanks John
