Anybody know who plays mandolin on the following three CDs and what kind of mandolins they play?
The Grass is Blue; Dolly Parton
The Bluegrass Sessions; Merle Haggard
Livin', Lovin', Losin': Songs Of The Louvin Brothers

The mandolinist on the Dolly Parton record is Sammy Bush, playing either Hoss or one of his many other mandos.
On the Louvin Bros. tribute, there are 4 mando players credited: Carl Jackson, David Harvey, Marty Stuart, Adam Steffey. Check the Allmusic.com credits page (http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:hcftxqualdse~T2) and see if I missed anyone.
Marty Stuart played on the Haggard record. Marty owns a Loar, but who knows what he played?

No wonder I liked the mandolin playing on Parton's CD!
The Louvin Brothers CD is various country music artists singing Louvin' songs.
