Hello All,
I am looking to visit some family in the Toronto, Ontario few a few days. Anyone know where to see some great mandolins and/or any good wood suppliers?

I'd be looking to stop in at The 12th Fret (http://www.12fret.com/) myself.

Thanks for the info Mike. I'll have to check them out when I get up there.
Any wood suppliers in the area that might be good to stop and see?

A side trip up the 401 to Cambridge. A&M wood specialty inc 358 Eagle N. 519-653-9322. They deal in exotic wood species and also have tone woods. back woods etc. for luthiers. If you're driving you go right by it provided you enter Canada at Detroit / Windsor.

Or at Port Huron/Sarnia. You may want to avoid the drive through Detroit and come up to Port Huron through Flint. I understand that the crossing at Detroit can be brutally busy. You can take Highway 402 from Sarnia to link up with 401 at London. I was born and raised south of Sarnia.
