Does anyone know what has happened to Ray Dearstone? My Dad bought one of his mandolins a couple years ago and we've been unable to contact him for the last 6 or 7 months.

he has a website with e-mail and telephone number,i have contacted him in the past ,go to builders section at the cafe and search dearstone.

Thanks Danny. I have already emailed him with no reply and his phone number is no longer in service. I will try the search that you have suggested..

Just in case you haven't been able to reach Mr. Dearstone yet his number is 423-323-3173 and his email is rdearstone@juno.com.
I have two of his mandolins--an A style and an F style. I am very satisfied with both of them and am awating another F style. NO ONE builds a better mandolin than Ray Dearstone--NO ONE.

..Ive heard some really good sounding Dearstones....I bought one when I sold my Gil....it was a clunker....must have been one that got away.....sorry to say but it wasnt a good mando.

The Dearstone that Shawn Lane plays is a monster and the one that Jason Burleson has is also!
