there is a maker making a two point mandolin that looks just like a violin raised edges finish etc. beautiful. he also makes f-style ones. its not a phoenix. i think he's in the north east. the name just slipped my mind

Actually Joseph Campanella Cleary; here's (http://www.campanellastrings.com/) his website. Makes a wonderful mandolin; the one I played at the Music Emporium was exceptional.
