I've read most of the posted 'info' about Gibson's changes in marketing and policy, on this board, Gibson's site itself and the banjo board, where this bubble first surfaced.
After some considerable thought about the 'what, where and why' of Gibson's move, I recalled that a while back there was a bit of discussion about Gibson going public.
Now, I sez to meself, just maybe this is a strategy that will appeal to shareholders and institutional buyers of an company with a pending IPO.
Anyone know if Martha Stewart has Gibson on her buy list???
And another little piece of info that floated thru cyberspace caused a query in my mind; a possible connection?. I heard that a recent visitor to OAI found the place deserted; apparently the Varnishers had vanished, the Tone Bar tappers were transported, the Abalone cutters absconded. Supposedly, they were exiled to other territories of Gibsonia, Inc. to mine and toil on higher-profit projects: electric guitars!!
