That would be an acquired taste. It is unusual to say the least.

It's a converted dulcimer according to a rough Google translation. I guess you'd have to play it like a dulcimer? Doesn't look very comfortable to hold vertically. Here's the Google translation:

This instrument is the great-8 string lyre Vulture (Geyer lyre Geyerleyer, etc.), modeled after that I developed and invented a few years ago ..

Originally, it started with a dulcimer (firewood, dulcimer), which is covered with 8 strings instead of 4, as usual. In addition, the strings are double choir, as mandola, Waldcister, etc., arranged and tuned diatonic (eg: D - A - D - A, or G - A #-G - A #, etc.), and that `I have partially preserved as in my.

Here is a Bouzuki-Frets is used, which allows a wider range to have, rather than the normal-dulcimer fretboards.

The sound is the "Geyer lyre" (see Shop) is very similar. I have voted in this instrument eE-bB-ee-bb.

Power is also optically in the Folk & Medieval Scene very good ..................

I recommend the Dommel in this version of eE-bB-ee-bb agree, deep does not sound later the bridge will hold rather not see!

Technical:

Guitar tuners, chrome

Rosewood neck with 14 frets

Sides: Rosewood, Solid

Soil: Rosewood, Solid

Top: Spruce, Solid

"Tribal" Soundhole

Weird design -- especially the limited access above the 8th fret -- but that sound-hole is really cool.
