Hey,is the Elvenwood ELF made in U.S.A, and I can't tell if it has a bound headstock? Thanks, dy.

These are made in Korea. More than likly by the same plant that made/makes Kentucky, Epiphone, GoldTone, and many other Korean mandolins. I have seen a few up close. As for the ones I had contact with, the peg head was unbound.
$300 for a solid "Pressed" top plywood back is fair. You can buy and all solid wood "2nd" Kentucky KM650/700 on Ebay for 500ish. Also see the classifieds on this site as well.
