Can someone tell me where I might find an arm rest with a tail extension for my km-160? I've heard that the arm rest allows for better sound board vibration. Is there any truth to this? I'd like one regardless cuz I find my arm naturally falls on the tail piece which is not very comfortable.

Doug over at Hill Country Stringworks makes great armrests and he does one that goes over the tailpiece too. Check out his website - www.hillcountrystringworks.com

I have had really good experiences with my King Brown. Looks good, feels great, and keeps my tailpiece on my Collings from digging into my arm. Here is a link...

Hope this helps!

Epoxied a piece of nice wood on top of the cover of my tailpiece, and made it more comfortable too.
I used Ebony , did all the outline cutting and finishing after I glued it on.
