OK then, the first person who donates $45 to the Plucked String Foundation will receive one of my mando prints NO Charge, thats right . You donate the $45 and get a nice piece of #original mando artwork #. I will pay for shipping. The entire $45 bucks goes to the Foundation.

Come on guys don't make me look bad by not #making the donation. Below are 3 different #prints that you can choose from.
Left to right "Vintage" "Bluegrass" "Irish 12 String"

I am sticking my neck out here, if no one goes for this I am going to be looking really stupid??? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Peace

I'm in... #But I probably need a month (or less) before I can contribute... #Is that o.k.? #How do I do it? #Can I send a cashier's check to you, and then you deal with it from there?

Your prints are very nice. #I like the first one, "Vintage." #Save one for me, will ya?

I have previously contributed to the "Foundation", as I know so many others have... I have been assured that it goes to a good cause... So, again... do what you can, and also remember contributions to other worthwhile causes...

There's a bunch. If everyone helps even just a little bit...by golly, the world would be a better place...

GREAT!!
I will hold a "Vintage" print for you. You can send me the check and I will forward it to the Foundation with a note indicating your donation and my part in it.
I can wait the few weeks no problem. I did a simliar thing last year so no worries about me folllowing through with the contribution.

Please send me an email through the cafe here as a confirmation and include your shipping address when you are ready to send the check. I am also setup with paypal so we can do it that way also if you want. You can contact me through my AD on the cafe the # is 10419

To date the amount donated online is up to $941.57 from 57 separate donations. I really like and appreciate the fact that the total number of individuals participating is strong. Thank you for your continued support and I'm looking forward to later in the week when we may be able to add in some donations from checks that arrive in Norman's mail.

Hey Mike!

I just sent you a p.m... Check it out...

Next question... (Scott, anyone?):

Suddenly, throughout the text of this message board, are strategically orange underlined words...

Weird!

For example, the word "vehicle" was in a post. It is underlined in orange. When I put the curser on that word, the highlights appear and say, "vehicles: U.S. Only--Car Direct.Com. Find car dealers near you....etc..."

Do I have a computer virus, or is this some new fandangled advertising ploy? Is anybody else experiencing this?

Spyware, I imagine. Download and run Spybot.

Well... #Thank you!

Actually, when I started this computer up, that "Spybot" feature automatically appeared! #I have no idear just what the heck I punched... But by golly... #the underlined orange words are gone! #So... Thanks, J. Mark!

P.S... #Just exactly what is spy ware?

P.S... #Just exactly what is spy ware?
Huge question, very big topic. Basically, it's software that gets installed on your computer without your knowledge (usually), and monitors your activity. Generally, this is for "marketing" purposes, and results in things like pop-ups, but it can also control your browser and search functions. Or just about anything else. You have to be careful with "Spyware Removal" software, as some of it is just spyware in disguise. It's a very insidious industry. Spybot itself is good, just make sure you got the right one.

How very strange! What kind of weirdos are behind this stuff? And for what purpose? I don't get it...

But thanks for the info, Mark...
