That looks like a lot of fun! Nice of the band to give him the spotlight for a minute. Goes to show you can play any kind of music on the mandolin!
Can't quite tell what instrument he's playing, but it looks and sounds like he's using a piezo (acoustic) pickup. Seems to resist feedback pretty well.
