Has anyone tried SIT strings?

I tried them years ago on a Gibson A-12. Nothing special that I recall tone wise, and they didn't seem to go in or out of tune any different than any other brand string. However our guitar player tried them on his D-18 Martin and thought they were great, used them exclusively for several years. If you can pick them up at an especially good price you might try them...every insrument is different!

I am currently using the SIT lights and love them, I have good tone and they last much longer than many others I have used.
Now,I have learned that each individual instrument is different. I heard the J-74s were the way to go, but I didn't like them on one mando but they were great on another.
The SITs are all I am using at the time, they are lasting me almost as long as the TIs did and much cheaper.

I broke both E strings and an A putting them on. The loops broke on the Es and the A came unwound. This has never happened to me with other sets. I won't be using them again.

FYI, I'm a GHS fan and after trying a set from WebStrings.com (http://webstrings.com/mandolin_strings.html), I found them to be similar, if not identical... and only $2.85!
