I was given this old taterbug and I like it and think I would play it if it was in better repair. Anyone familiar with the maker or have any advice on spending money on such an instrument?
The label says it was built in Naples in 1898 and bears a signature.

Roger, my impression is that it might be a rather nice one - but I've been wrong before :whistling:

You'll find the best-informed people on this subject in the "Classical Medieval Renaissance" area of the Cafe, so if I were you I'd post pictures of it there and see what the folks there think:
