I'm building a new computer and I'd like to put a good sound card in it. #I need some good sound, good midi stuff, but not many bells and whistles or big bucks! #Anyone have any advice? #I use Trackion software to record with a Tascam US122. #The soundcard would be for Band in a Box and basic midi stuff and for playback on TabEdit files.
Thanks for any help!

M-Audio Revolution. Under $100 and great sound. M-Audio was previously called Midiman and specialized in pro audio. This is there entry into the home user market.

Also recommend the M-audio Audiophile 2496. A little over $100 I believe. Very good sounding card.
