I was at the Vancouver Folk Fest yesterday to see Darol Anger and Mike Marshal, After the show I was walking around the back of the crowd and I spotting three early teens with a cardboard box and new Mando. The one boy just bought it and this was minute one for him. He had to pick but I played a few things with my thumb. I told him to check out mandolin cafe and that it where to start.
I guess that's how it starts, eh? Hey, you could do worse than wanting to play a mando after seeing a MM show.
How was the trio? They're coming to Calgary this weekend - should be great!

It was a great musical experance,worth it if you like of the world of Darol and Mike.
