Three cheers for United Airlines!

Hey Gang,

I boarded a small 2-prop plane out of San Fran today. The overhead bins were small - I couldn't find an empty one to put my Breedlove in. I started to get nervous. I asked the flight attendant for help and she told me to wait until every one was seated. It turned out they had a couple of extra seats on the plane, so she seat-belted my mandolin into one of those vacant seats so I wouldn't have to put it under the plane!

Way to go United!

That's a contract company called "Skywest" and has the United brand on the side of the plane. Legaly, it is not even a franchise.

I wouldn't give United "props" just yet.

That Skywest outfit once left me standing at the gate looking at my flight and took off without me after United promised that connections would be held. So I guess Skywest is not United despite what is painted on the sides of the planes and the gates.MMc

Regardless of carrier, I like this story, picturing a mandolin strapped into a seat like a person makes me smile.
