Anyone found a good metronome, downloadable for the PC. One that I can run at any reasonable speed, preferably with a flashing light so that I can 'see' the beat while recording?

The few that I've found aren't too good.

I use Weird Metronome (http://www.pinkandaint.com/weirdmet.shtml). The latest version, released 4th August, has a blink. It's very flexible regarding rhythms and a spectacularly small download: the entire program with installer and interface is 24 kB!

PC users are funny...

Here's a simple online metronome (http://www.metronomeonline.com/flash/Metronome.swf) for any machine running flash.
