South Auston Jug Band

Anyone familiar with this band? I saw them at a concert in Lancaster PA last night and I highly recommend them. The mandolin players name is Matt Slusher and he was very good. The also had 2 guitar players, a fiddler, and a standup bass player. They played a variety of tunes from Hendrix's "Little Wing" to "Nine Pound Hammer." One of my favorites was their "Blackberry Blossom / Friend of the Devil / Blackberry Blossom" jam. The have a wetsite and have recorded a CD. Just passing this along in case you these guys come to your area.

Sorry - that's "Austin" - they're from Austin Tx. My fingers get messed up on the keyboard, kind of like they do while playing my mando.

I don't know anything about them but I did see them a couple of years ago at the Austin City Limits Music Fest. They were pretty good.

They were booked to play at the Sisters (OR) Folk Festival in Sept. but the festival people said they broke up? Wierd.
I was looking forward to seeing them.
