I'm wondering what voicings you folks use for a good sounding chop? I've been using the ones shown in the Cafe bluegrass lesson, but I've seen experienced players use a variety of shapes - some a lot higher up the neck.

..thats where learning the fingerboard is a must...when you do that you will be able to transpose chords to different positions on the neck....learning what notes make up a chord and finding them at different intervals on the neck to form a chord will help you find what you are looking for...
