Martin "Darco" Bronze Wound Strings

At first I thought the FQMS catalog had a typo error for these; $1.98/set. #Can they be that bad? #Unfortunately they only come in lights; 10,14,24w,34w. #I just finished with a set of Martin M400 bronze wound strings of the same gauges on an Old Wave oval-A and it sounded very sweet. Could the "Darco" strings be much different?
