radius fingerboard

Hey folks
Just wondering if the nut and bridge have a radius also with a radius fingerboard. Know a luthier who I don't think has made a mandolin with a radius and was wondering how much more work it is. Thanks so much.

Hi Bluegrassdan

I used to have an old flatback, made in Portugal around 1910, which had a radiussed fingerboard. The nut and bridge were radiussed too. I think you'd be in trouble if it wasn't. Shouldn't be much extra work.

They HAVE to have it or the 4 outside strings would be to far off the fingerboard. I'm sure yor friend would have figured that out. ...Kerry
