(Moving over from "Builders" where I erroneously posted it.)
I found Stephen Holst in the Eye Candy section and really love how his instruments look. I have this abiding lust for a Radio Flyer mandolin and these are darned close? Has anyone seen and played his mandolins?
Thanks in advance,

hi, I am having one built by Steve right now. there are a couple pics of the mando in progress on his website under current work & then K100 mandolin. It's going to be a blonde mando with red spruce top and one piece red maple back & red maple binding.

Hi Paul:
I'm a fan of Steve's instruments: I own one of his archtop guitars, and recently was able to demo the blonde F5 shown on his website. His craftsmanship is impeccable, and the F5 played very, very nicely. I appreciate his approach to making each instrument unique and customized.
The F5 I played was made with relatively soft maple in the back and sides, and was real warm, with a lot of sustain. Email me if I can answer any questions for you.

The blonde F-5 on his website is just excellent looking. I have got some major lusting going on for that mando!
