Hey Everyone!

The much anticipated Boston area appearance of Emory Lester is happening this Thursday night at Johnny D's in Somerville, MA.

The Emory Lester Set is an ensemble of bluegrass and new acoustic artists from Ontario Canada, put together to feature Emory's music. Mainstay members - violinist / composer Marion Linton (featured in the July 2004 issue of Bluegrass Now magazine) and bassist Kene Hyatt are back with the ELS. In addition, Emory has welcomed into the band one of the most exciting instrumental talents in the music, acoustic guitar wizard Marc Roy.

I'd love to be there, but I won't even be in the same part of the country. If he plays his Ludewig "Emory Lester Model" let us know how it sounds! I think that is a very cool design.

I just picked up a copy of Lester's "Cruising the 8" and I am enjoying it very much! I hope to catch his band in the near future.

Thanks for the post, Andy, but Chris Thile is in town at the Paradise that night. I hope to catch Lester sometime.

Wow, I had no idea CT was going to be at the Paradise Thursday night!!

From the Paradise's website (http://www.thedise.com) "August 12th - Mutual Admiration Society featuring Glen Phillips, Chris Thile, Sara Watkins and Sean Watkins and very special guests John Paul Jones (on bass) and Pete Thomas doors at 8 PM"

Talk about life's difficult choices!
