Hi,
I have a screw that attaches the pearl tuning 'knob' to the rest of the mechanism and every once in a while, it will come a teeny bit loose and buzz, depending on the note I'm playing, but boy is it loud. Any suggestions?

wrap a little tef-lon tape around the threads of the screw...

A drop of Loc-tite on the threads will work also.

..as someone who uses loc-tite about every day at my day job I wouldnt recommend it. It can set up too good and as delicate those screws are if you ever had to remove a button at some point you would surely strip the head of the screw out and ruin it...

With those small screws / heads ... often a single thread wrapped around the tip of the screw will stop it from backing out. I've also used a sliver (wedge shaped) of teflon (or scotch) tape worked into the threaded cavity.

I use a drop of clear lacquer on the end of the screw threads. If you don't have lacquer around, use a drop of clear nail polish. Kenc
